Recommended as a first step for beginning hockey players who completed a Learn to Skate class and have a solid base of fundamental skating skills.

(1) 1-hour skate each Saturday.
LEVEL 2 - Ages 5-8
January 6 - March 30
Mini Mites: Full Season
Girls Mini Mites: Full Season

Program serves as an introduction to "team" play with practice sessions and small-ice games.

We strongly believe that keeping the players active and moving on the ice, having fun, and building confidence is essential.

Games will be cross-ice (width of end zones of the rink).

(2) 1-hour long skates each week (Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons).
LEVEL 3 - Ages 6-8
January 6 - March 30
Mites: Full Season
Girls Mites: Full Season

(8) skates per month at Suburban Ice Farmington Hills (Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons).

Teams will be selected by Suburban Staff with the assistance of volunteer coaches.

Advanced players will play against other advanced players and intermediate players will play against other intermediate players.

Game format: Half-ice (goal line to red line) using board dividers at center ice, 4 on 4, (2) 22-minute periods, small nets with goaltenders, referees and scorekeepers.
